Did you know that Swansea was recently named the most beautiful city in the UK? It has 32 miles of stunning coast with over 50 named beaches and coves – that is a beach for every week of the year! Swansea Market is the largest indoor market in Wales with over 100 independent stalls. Wales’ oldest public museum, Swansea Museum, can be found here as well as Wales’ newest one – National Waterfront Museum. This beautiful city was recently also named the most welcoming, friendly and trustworthy UK city.
Momentálně studuji bakalářský obor BA (Hons) International Relations na Swansea University ve Walesu. Swansea byla moje top volba hned od první chvíle, kdy jsem viděla fotky města s pláží. Kampus se nachází hned u pláže a po dlouhém dni v knihovně je nejpříjemnější si zajít na pláž nebo do jednoho z mnoha parků a relaxovat. Profesoři, kteří mě učí, několik let pracovali přímo v oboru a jsou to moc milí lidé, na které se mohu kdykoliv s čímkoliv obrátit.
Ve Swansea jsem si velice rychle našla brigádu, protože se kampus nachází kousek od centra města, kde je spousta restaurací, kaváren a obchodů, kde zaměstnavatelé rádi přijímají studenty na brigády. Zároveň univerzita pořádá různé výlety po okolí, kde je nespočet přírodních i kulturních památek. Za tři roky jsem poznala nespočet přátel z různých koutů světa a mohla jsem navázat důležité kontakty do budoucna. Jsem moc ráda, že jsem si vybrala právě Swansea, protože si každý den mohu užívat čerstvého vzduchu a zvuků moře.
